William Miller

William has spent over thirty years residing in Asia, including Taipei, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. He graduated from the University of Auckland (1994) in New Zealand with a conjoint B.Com/LLB, and obtained his Masters of Law (Corporate and Financial Law stream) from the University of Hong Kong (2008). He is admitted as a solicitor and barrister of the High Court of New Zealand (1994) and Supreme Court of Tasmania, Australia (1996) as well as the High Court of Hong Kong (2010). William’s legal practice covers a broad range of company and commercial work. With a keen interest in technology, regulatory and compliance matters, he also advises on company, corporate governance, directors duties, dispute resolution, contentious commercial disputes and litigation.

William is very familiar with China’s current affairs and culture, and understands Mandarin Chinese.

Mr. Miller was appointed Executive Councillor in December 2024.
